When did Swarovski remove the purchasing restrictions?
Effective June 1, 2026, businesses may purchase Swarovski Crystals without signing a Brand Control Agreement, and authorized distributors may once again sell Swarovski Crystals to resellers, including bead stores and online retailers.

What is the new Swarovski distribution policy?
Swarovski has transitioned away from the distribution and brand usage changes introduced in 2021. The new Swarovski distribution policy allows for the sale of Swarovski Crystals into the marketplace without any signed Brand Control Agreement. This means, there are no longer restrictions on businesses to purchase Swarovski Crystals as well as who can use the Swarovski brand name in line with their Proper Use Brand Guidelines. Designers, manufacturers, artists and brands are eligible to purchase Swarovski Crystals without any signed agreement with Swarovski.
Who can purchase Swarovski Crystals?
Businesses and resellers of all sizes may now purchase Swarovski Crystals through authorized distribution channels. At HARMAN, we only sell wholesale directly to businesses. As a Swarovski Authorized Distribution Partner, we are able to once again sell Swarovski Crystals to resellers of crystal components such as bead stores or online resellers. Stores and online resellers who purchase Swarovski Crystals from us are able to sell Swarovski Crystals to their retail customers.
Can I purchase Swarovski Crystals for tooth gems in the United States?
No. Swarovski Crystals may not be sold in the United States for tooth gem applications. However, international customers outside the United States may still purchase Swarovski Crystals for tooth gem use where permitted by local regulations.
Can Authorized Distribution Partners sell Swarovski Crystals to resellers again?
Yes. Authorized wholesale distributors may once again supply Swarovski Crystals to ecommerce businesses, bead stores, online retailers, and resellers.
Do I still need a Swarovski Brand Control Agreement?
No. If you are a brand that signed a Brand Control Agreement with Swarovski you should have received an email directly from Swarovski advising that they are moving away from the Brand Control Agreement. If you cannot locate this email, please contact us and we will be happy to provide you with a copy.
Can I use the Swarovski name in product descriptions?
Yes, you can use the Swarovski brand name in product descriptions. However, the use of the Swarovski brand name must follow Swarovski’s Proper Use Brand Guidelines.
Are Swarovski logos allowed on websites or packaging?
No, Swarovski logos are never allowed on websites or packaging. The use of Swarovski logos or trademarks is strictly prohibited. See Swarovski’s Proper Use Brand Guidelines for more information.
Can jewelry designers use the Swarovski brand name again?
Yes, jewelry designers may now reference Swarovski Crystals in product descriptions and marketing materials when following Swarovski’s Proper Use Brand Guidelines.
Can Etsy sellers use the Swarovski brand name?
Yes, Etsy sellers can use the Swarovski brand name. However, the use of the Swarovski brand name must follow Swarovski’s Proper Use Brand Guidelines.
Can I use the Swarovski brand name in my social media?
Yes. Businesses may reference the Swarovski brand name on social media when following Swarovski’s Proper Use Guidelines. Social media posts, product descriptions, and marketing content may reference Swarovski crystals using approved wording such as:
“Embellished with Crystals by Swarovski®” or
“Created with Swarovski® Crystals”
Businesses must not create any false impression of partnership, endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation with Swarovski.

The use of “Swarovski” word in an account name is strictly prohibited.
