Designed to be used with thicker fabrics, rim settings are to be used with a standard round flatback rhinestones. They can be used with the corresponding size of any of the leading crystal rhinestone brands. When using a rim setting, the rim itself shows and goes around the edge of the crystal. The prongs are folded and hidden on the other side of the fabric. These settings have longer prongs and are designed to be used with thicker fabrics such as denim, leather and suede.
